GREENTHINC. recognizes that the architectural and building professions are evolving.
The needs of building owners, municipalities even, the design profession, and the construction industry are much more varied than just a few years ago. Sustainability is requiring a greater inquiry into the performance and longevity aspects of buildings.
Our services:
We recognize the changing needs and offer not only design services but knowledge services as well in order to answer the growing questions. How do we know what we need to do? How do we get there? The solutions are are there, they just need to be uncovered and identified one at a time - it's a deliberate process and acheivable. Sharing this knowledge is a vital part of our pursuit of truly sustainable building environments.
Kirby Residence
As the central North Carolina farm fields gave way to residential zoning the Kirby family jumped at the chance to purchase two acres at low cost and set in motion their intent to build their dream retirement home. Sited, now on four acres, this one level home with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, an open country kitchen, porches, and three car garage quickly became the home they've always wanted.

Karlsson Residence
Upon moving to the US the Karlsson family realized the need to expand their Waxhaw, NC residence to accommodate the dual need for a PGA-level golf training facility as well as serve as a barrier to stray tee shots from the 12th hole tee box just a driver's distance away. Coupled with a covered trellis and an outdoor living space for this active golfing family this design concept seamlessly integrates the Old European architecture of the existing home with their newly relocated lifestyle.Turner Residence
In two acres of hardwood trees quietly sits a low- country styled home that the Turner family envisioned years earlier. Over the years, this three bedroom, two bath home has provided a quiet country getaway for the Turner's and their two girls. Lindy Turner says, "I just love this house, this property, it's so quiet and relaxing."

Foster Residence
The severe slopes of the Foster residence property in Asheville, NC required site wall construction to maintain drainage and protect their home from structural settling damage. The new retaining wall is constructed out of scalloped split-face concrete masonry units which replaced the original unreinforced concrete wall from the 1930's and provided a usable level area for outdoor enjoyment.
Interior Design & Renovations
New office layout from an existing space provides much needed work space and the ability to convert back with minimum effort. Full height wall shelving and base cabinet drawers provided a surplus of storage options while still allowing plentiful layout space on birch veneer table tops from solid core wood doors.
